Sunday 5th Aug - Lake Garda to Venice

After a quick breakfast our first stop was Lake Garda, Torbole, windsurfing area.  Not sure if it was meant to be torture for Amelie but that was the effect it had "why can't we go out? why can't we just hire something and go out?"
We had a look, collected information then headed on to Venice!

WE camped on the peninsular over the water from Venice, there were loads of sites on the beach.

One had been recommended so we headed for that one. The information centre said "its high season if you find a place take it!"
First site had only 1 place left with no shade and wanted 80 euros for the night.
It was a eurocamp site with a pool but it was choc full of mainly brits abroad, so we decided to take the risk and try a few more. - most had no space but eventually we found one which had a shady spot, no pool but private access to the beach, evening entertainment, play park & great showers. It was 50 euros a night - bargain!

So we booked 2 nights & still without gas we ate cheese & biscuits while our neighbours had a street party & cooked meat on a BBQ right next to us (sooooo jealous!)
